About Qura
Founded in 2024, Qura started with a clear goal: to unlock the law.
We’re building a new interface to legal information — moving beyond clunky PDF libraries and outdated keyword search.
Qura’s next-generation database unifies and connects thousands of legal sources using intelligent technology to make the law faster, clearer, and more accessible.
Two critical ingredients define our approach: coverage and quality.
Coverage. Without comprehensive coverage, it’s impossible to build a system that truly gives access to the entire body of law. We aim for 100% coverage of all relevant information — meaning hundreds of data pipelines spanning legislation, case law, authorities, and legal literature in each jurisdiction.
Quality. The law is a network of complex connections. A statute might be out of force in one context due to a later authority decision, yet remain valid in another. Legal texts can never be read in isolation — everything is interconnected. Our data structure and ontology are built to capture and reflect these relationships.
